The Motivational method
What makes Marmon Family Dog Training different?
Marmon Family Dog Training uses relationship-based training to help your dog listen and help you understand the handling. Aaron trains every dog himself, and every board and train includes a daily video recap. Six- and nine-week programs give him time to build and condition behavior through repeated practice.
Be someone your dog wants to listen to
Most training problems are really communication problems. Aaron teaches you how your dog’s mind works and what makes them tick, so you become someone your dog actually wants to listen to. That is a very different thing from forcing a dog to comply, and it holds up long after the program ends.
Six to nine weeks, not a weekend
Plenty of programs promise a finished dog in two or three weeks. Aaron is honest about it: a real board and train runs six to nine weeks. The six-week program lays the foundation, and the nine-week Complete Package fully conditions it, because a two or three week program is a waste of your money. Webster Groves is a busy, walkable town, and that real-world proofing is what makes the training stick.
Trained in the real world
Aaron’s regional training catalog shows dogs learning to stay connected around people and distractions at the Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium, parks, and dog-friendly stores. Use those examples to discuss the skills you want for neighborhood walks in Webster Groves. Every board and train owner receives private daily videos of their own dog.
A loving member of your family
Family dog training is its own thing. It is not sport or working-dog training, even though Aaron’s background in that world informs everything he does. The goal is simpler and bigger: help your dog become a calm, loving member of your family, and create the dog you always dreamed they would be.
- 1. Aaron trains every dog himself, start to finish. One trainer, no handoffs.
- 2. A short daily video recap on every board and train, so you see the progress with your own eyes.
